The further south you get into rural Bavaria the more life seems to slow down to a gentle and even pace unlike in the capital Munich or bigger southern German cities like Ingolfstadt or Augsburg. It feels like the hectic metropolitan life that encaptures most every modern being in Germany cannot reach you anymore in these pictoresque villages and small towns where life proceeds almost like decades if not centuries ago. There is a warm and comfortable feeling of stand still about the region.
